Our Story

Tequila’s Town is the result of more than 50 years of combined food industry experience and 5 years of dreams and plans made true.


From our humble beginnings in Morelia, Michoacán, to our commercial kitchens in our two Savannah locations, one thing remains: authenticity and traditional recipes. Add a world-class selection of tequila and now our very own Tequila Blanco label, and you have discovered Savannah’s best Mexican eatery.


A love for food, people and high standards for excellence in service has brought together a team of brothers and “compadres” to become business partners- this fraternal relationship conceptualized “Savannah’s Best Mexican Restaurant and Tequila Bar” (as awarded recently by readers of Connect Savannah, Savannah Magazine and Eat It and Like It).

We love food and travel, and experiment with flavors to create awesome bites that will keep happy customers returning. As long-time Savannah residents and restaurateurs, the managing partners strive to be the best by treating each customer like family.


Why the name? The business partners visualized a casual, modern Mexican eatery that was known as “the place to have great Tequila and a good Taco.” The result? We are the place for tacos and tequila: Tequila’s Town.

Our mission is to serve fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine and offer the best tequila selection in town. We take great pride in sourcing quality ingredients from local farms and conventional restaurant suppliers to bring the highest quality ingredients and make it affordable.
